Profesional Midwifery Education
We offer a technical career in Professional Midwifery, based on the basic skills for the Practice of Professional Midwifery of the Midwives Alliance of North America and the basic documentation of the International Confederation of Midwives. The career lasts for four years, where by the first three years are dedicated to midwifery studies and one year of social service.
Applicant’s profile:
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of the necessities of women in the region and involvement in their sociocultural context
- Willingness to work in the sexual and reproductive health field from a clinical and community approach
- Commitment to the scientific and humanistic model of Professional Midwifery
- Teamwork based on a positive attitude of empathy and respect
- Scheduling time to study and participate in cultural, family and labor activities

- Pre-conception care and family planning
- Guidance and care during pregnancy
- Birth and delivery care
- Postpartum care
- Newborn care
- Spontaneous abortion care
- Primary healthcare regarding sexual and reproductive health
